Probing System

A probing system consists of a work piece touch probe (for measurement and referencing) and a tool setting probe (for tool length, radius and breakage detection) integrated into a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining centre, along with supporting software to create measurement programmes and generate quality control alerts and reports.

Essential equipment configuration and training costs can be considered part of the equipment unit.

• The cost of this activity is capped at S$35,000
• Support received for all Automation and Digitalisation projects combined will count towards your company's annual grant cap of S$30,000, within your overall annual grant cap of S$100,000
• Project must be completed within 12 months from date of approval
• Costs incurred from date of application are covered upon approval

Hardware costs. Equipment purchased must meet the mandatory specifications.

1. Work piece and tool setting probe has approach directions +/-x, +/-y, and –z, and a repeatability of ≤1um 2 sigma
2. Probing system unit includes software to create measurement programmes for standard geometries and free-form surfaces and generate quality control alerts and reports.

Include but are not limited to:

• Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Maintenance costs such as Certificate of Entitlement (COE)
• Used, refurbished, second-hand, or reconditioned equipment

Business entity must:

• Be registered and operating in Singapore
• Have at least 30% Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s) ownership (direct or indirect) determined by the ultimate individual ownership
• Not be a home-based business
• Not have started work or made any payment or deposit to a supplier, vendor, or third party prior to application submission
• Not have previously applied for grant support for this solution

Other conditions:

• Equipment purchased must be new and for utilisation in Singapore
• Equipment purchased must meet all mandatory specification

At the end of the project, submit the relevant supporting documents:

1. Clear photo of the equipment with serial number, fully installed and deployed at the declared premises during application. The serial number must also be entered into the system during claim submission
2. Other supporting documentation such as delivery order, where applicable

1. Vendor quotation showing detailed scope of services including mandatory specifications, supporting licences or documents, and product brochure where applicable
2. Projection of expected cost savings as a result of the project, for 1 year after project completion
